New to ecigs? Start here..

There was something that piqued your interest in "vaping" using an "e-cigarette". Maybe you see an increasing number of people using their devices out in public? Or perhaps you are seeking a healthier way to quit those nasty smokes? Whatever your reason, you probably need a little guidance to get started.

The use of electronic cigarettes or "e-cigs" has been around quite a long time. It wasn't until around 2009 that the idea and evolution really started to take off. My first attempt to quit smoking using these was around that time. Options were slim, e juice /e liquid flavors were single and bland. Needless to say, though I immediately noticed the technology would eventually work, it simply didn't do it for me.

New devices and more and more companies began to enter the market and within a year or two they were making some very capable devices that not only worked well.... they were actually more pleasant than smoking. New flavors were coming out, and new juice vendors were popping up everywhere.

As of today, you can find nearly any and every flavor you wish to vape, including multiple flavor profiles. A few years ago the hardest part about quitting smoking and switching to e cigs was finding a juice that you actually liked. You don't just have to like the juice- but you need to prefer it over the taste of a real cigarette.

How do they work?

There are 3 main components to and e cig, or even a PV (personal vaporizer). First you have to have power. This is the battery. This may be in the form of a power controlled box mod, or a stick like tube. Next you have the atomizer. The atomizer is the top piece to any setup that creates the vapor. They do this by using the 3rd piece your juice or e liquid. Simply put the juice in the chamber or tank of the atomizer and control the battery by holding down the power button. The atomizer essentially heats up and boils the juice creating a nice tasty warm vapor.

Ok, so where do I start?

Like mentioned, there are thousands and thousands of devices at your fingertips to purchase. Most people see their friend or family using one and try it. When they like it they look for the same type of device. There is a little learning curve though and you probably don't want to start out without the knowledge and feel like you wasted your money.

For a brand new beginner, start with a starter kit.

Avoid those e cigs they sell at gas stations that look like a real cigarette. While they look like the real thing, I can assure you 99% of users do not think they satisfy them.

An all in one start kit will give you everything you need to get started except for the juice /liquid. It will include the battery power, atomizer/s , and charger. They will vary in price and style. We have them grouped here in beginner to advanced.

We advise, start cheap if you are just starting. Pick up some juice and a beginner starter kit. Come back when you are ready to upgrade into a more advanced set up.
